Event Details

Join Discovery Community and our local CMG friends for a fun evening of Chinese dinner and a beginning improv workshop on Saturday evening, January 28th. The event will start at 6:30pm and end around 9:30pm. Location: Near Civic Center BART, exact address will be sent when you register.

Jonathan Goldman, who has a decade worth of Theatresports™ experience, will coach us on some of the basics of improvisation through participatory exercises and games.  No experience is necessary, but a willingness to accept that a failed attempt really is a success.  Come and laugh with others, at ourselves and the world (past, present and future). This is neither stand-up comedy nor drama therapy.  Improv is great for shy people and a chance to be silly in a safe space.

Food truck chef Michael Lee will prepare a yummy, freshly prepared Year of the Dragon Chinese New Years dinner of saucy dumplings and stir-fry to fuel our fun.  Bring your appetite, imagination and willingness to meet new guys (real or imagined).

Space is limited and there is a nominal $15 charge for the food and workshop. You must register so we count you in!  Each attendee must register sepapately. Send an email to discoverydineout@aol.com for inquiries.
